CS2 Float Values & Wear (FN, MW, FT, WW, BS)

Every CS2 skin has a hidden float value between 0 and 1. The lower the float, the cleaner the skin looks. The float maps to one of five wear conditions.

Wear ranges

Wear	Abbr.	Float range
Factory New	FN	0.00 – 0.07
Minimal Wear	MW	0.07 – 0.15
Field-Tested	FT	0.15 – 0.38
Well-Worn	WW	0.38 – 0.45
Battle-Scarred	BS	0.45 – 1.00

Why float matters

• Price — Factory New copies usually cost far more than Battle-Scarred of the same skin.
• Low floats — a 0.00x "black-screen" FN can carry a big premium with collectors.
• Caps — some skins can't reach FN; their minimum float is higher, so the cleanest copy is MW.
