CS2 Case Hardened & Blue Gems

Case Hardened skins have a random pattern template (a number 0–999) that decides how blue, gold and purple are arranged. Some patterns are so blue they're called "blue gems" and sell for a fortune.

Blue gems

• The most sought patterns show a large, clean blue playside with minimal gold.
• On the AK-47 | Case Hardened, patterns like #661 are legendary "100% blue gems".
• Knife blue gems (Karambit, Bayonet) can reach five or six figures for top patterns.

Reading a pattern

Pattern index is fixed per item, so the same number always produces the same look on that skin. Tier lists exist for each Case Hardened skin ranking the bluest patterns. Always check the pattern (paint seed), not just the wear, when buying Case Hardened.
