CS2 Fade Percentage Guide
Fade skins blend a gradient of colours across the weapon. The fade percentage describes how much of that gradient covers the skin — and it's a major price driver, especially on knives.
How it works
- 80–90% — base level; the gradient doesn't fully cover the blade.
- 95–99% — fuller coverage, more desirable.
- 100% Fade — maximum coverage; commands a clear premium.
Colour distribution
Beyond percentage, collectors care about the colour split — how much yellow vs. pink/purple shows, and whether the "full fade" runs blade-to-tip. A 100% Fade with a strong, even spread is worth more than a 100% with an awkward distribution.
Fade appears on knives (e.g. Karambit | Fade) and several pistols (Glock-18 | Fade, R8 Revolver | Fade).
